We are delighted to welcome Lynsey Hogg to the team as our General Retail Manager. Lynsey has many years of retail experience, most recently in managing a Dobbies Food Hall near Edinburgh, and will bring all her skills to bear as we takeover and renovate the shop. She grew up in the local area and is looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to grips with the shop. Welcome Lynsey!
We are also delighted to welcome Sam Rushton as our Community Engagement Worker. Sam has a career spent supporting children and their families, as well as a flourishing Zumba dance business. We look forward to seeing the differenec Sam can make to our community over the next 2 years. Welcome Sam!
The Project Team
In March 2017, the NGCE team learned that they had been successful in applying for full Big Lottery funding for the project.
This grant allowed them to take on a number of professional consultants to take the project forward into a fully operational business.
The professional team for the Renovation Phase are:
Helen Keron (New Galloway) – Project Manager
Marc Henkelmann (Kirkcudbright) – Architectural Consultant
Luce Bay Contractors – Renovation contractors.
The team of consultants is supported and guided in its work by the voluntary Management Committee of NGCE.
